It’s quiet. The towels smell good!

The staff was so helpful. they texted me the check-in guide. When we arrived in the morning, they allowed us to get to our room and prepare for our half-day Kern River Rafting trip. The room is spacious and clean, the bed is so comfortable, and it's in a great location! The market is across the street.

Great location for exploring nearby historic Kernville and around pretty Lake Isabella. Close to some beautiful hikes. We were amazed by the sequoia trees at the Trail of 100 Giants, which is just under 1 hour drive from the Studios.. There isn't much in walkable distance, except for a small general store opposite and a Subway at the gas station across the road, but that's sufficient for a few basic provisions. Kernville is 5 minutes drive away and has an amazing general store (Sierra Gateway) and a selection of really great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, ice cream parlours etc. The studio has been beautifully refurbished and decorated in a very chic way, and the towels and bedlinens were super soft and of really high quality. We loved the scandi-urban-cabin vibe of the room and also loved having access to the equally gorgeous common room - this would be even better with a few board games or books etc. Loved the coffee machine and pods provided, and also the cold water in the common room refrigerator. Very welcome!

As a few other reviews have said, the studios are quite noisy at night due to their proximity to a main road. The soundproofing between the studios is also minimal and we could hear the extractor fan, phone alarm and voices from the studio behind ours. The studio we stayed in did not have blackout curtains so if you are in Studio S or the one next door that face East then be prepared to wake with the dawn! Neither of these points above are the end of the world, but maybe bring ear plugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper!! Also, be aware that while Studio S is equipped with a small fridge and microwave there is no ice box in the fridhe and no utensils or crockery etc, so you will need your own knife/fork/spoon/plate/bowl etc if you want to heat anything in the microwave or prepare a simple breakfast or lunch.

Room were spacious and clean. Great central location to visit the Sequoia Forest, Lake Isabella, and the Kern river.

The size and how clean everything was. The check-in & out are very convenient. The linens smelled amazing and room had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

There was nothing we didn't like 😀
