Great location, 30 second walk to the beach. Rooms are fairly clean and comfortable. Staff are nice and it’s a very social hostel, lots of activities to do and free dinner every night is a plus. Perfect for a solo traveller.

The air con is only turned on from 7pm-9am so it can get very hot in the rooms during the day and there’s nowhere to cool off. The activities with the hostel are quite expensive, you can definitely get them cheaper somewhere else.

Good for meeting new people and close to the beach.

The Airconditioning was not working for 2 Nights and it was so hot at night. Everything is a bit dirty.

Really well organised with activities, free dinner every night is a great idea and the place feels very friendly

Perfect location, comfortable beds, quiet nights, AC working properly, huge lockers under the beds. Most importantly, the hospitality of staff , they also keeps the place suuuper clean, which is a very big asset for me personally! I look for no other place when I am back to the city and will undoubtedly recommend to others.

Great location and social atmosphere!

The only saving grace is the good vibe created by fellow travelers, the parties were fun and the people we met were great.

The AC was broken when we arrived — it took 2 out of our 3 nights to “fix” it, and even then the room was hotter than outside. The staff didn’t take the issue seriously and made jokes when we tried to explain the problem — maybe because they were visibly high at the time. Or even worse, didn’t find any issue here. The shower broke on the first day and wasn’t fixed for 24 hours. They told us we’d get a proper discount for all the inconvenience, but at checkout the discount was barely 25% (which turned out to just be their low-season rate). Worse, they tried to charge us for late checkout after they themselves told us to leave our bags in the room while we went diving. Reception wasn’t even open before 10am. We had to push hard just to get a 35% discount. Overall, the facilities strongly need a refurbishment, the staff are unprofessional and mostly interested in drinking with guests and flirting with tourists. But compared to hostels in similar countries (e.g. Masaya in Colombia), it’s three times the price for a third of the value. Would strongly not recommend. This place is a boulevard for the competition. Anyone opening a half-decent hostel nearby would crush it.
