Very disappointed with this property! The rooms were dirty (bedding clean) but sinks, floor mats and windows were filthy. Despite there being lots of staff nobody seemed to know what was going on. The “Tour Manager” who texted non stop before we arrived never showed his face for the 3 days we were there. The food is okay in the restaurant but the buffet is not kept warm. The pool was quite dirty with leaves floating on the water. The poolside had drinking glasses around it the following afternoon from the night before. One person who is doing a great job is the gardener.

What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the outstanding hospitality, led by the hotel manager, Mr. Suresh. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Suresh went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care for every guest were evident throughout our stay. He was always available to offer helpful recommendations for local tours, organize transportation, and ensure that every aspect of our visit was smooth and enjoyable. Thanks to Mr. Suresh and his dedicated team, we felt more like family than guests. It’s rare to find such personalized service and hospitality in today’s travel industry. If you're visiting Sigiriya, I highly recommend staying at Sigiriya Kingdom Resort. It’s a hidden gem that delivers peace, comfort, and a truly memorable Sri Lankan experience.
