Very friendly owner, very beautiful mountain views, clean and well kept campsite

Canyon Farm Yard is by far the best camping site I’ve ever stayed on. The campsites are located far apart from each other so it’s very private. We’ve stayed at campsite 8, where there is a small dune close by, from which you have a great view at the sunset. It gets really hot around the fish river canyon but at canyon farm yard there is a pool to cool down. The hosts are the best hosts you can wish for. Such kind and caring people, you can really feel that they love what they are doing. When ever I’ll come back to Namibia I would definitely stay at their place. Thank you for the greatest two nights possible.

This camp is an atraction of it self! There is so much fun thing to see just bz walking around the camp and we enjoed it very much! Each location also offers a lot of privacy as the camp is very spatious. The location is quite good as it is located between the fishriver canyon and the quiver tree forest. The owners were very nice and offered us great advice about where and when to go. They gave us a great tip about feeding of the cheetas which we wouldnt have kown about without them. They also gave us great tips about where to continue our path. The camp is very peacefull and a perfect place to observe the milkiway galaxy, sunrise and the sunset. While showing us around we even saw a Leopard that offered us great entertainment during the night! (This is ofcurse a joke. Or is it....? :D) Even if you are just passing by, we strongly suggest to stoping by at least for a coffee to meet the owners and their very artsy camp!

Camping in mezzo al deserto, nel nulla. Una via lattea pazzesca! Proprietari gentili e simpatici, la torta di mele fatta in casa super buona e il biltong fresco è tagliato al momento anche.

Liked the location and the hosts Wally & Meisie were so helpful & informative. They suggested we take the Orange River route around and it was spectacular.

Dieser Campingplatz war mit unser Highlight unserer gesamten Rundreise! Der Campingplatz ist sehr ruhig, im Süden Namibias, gelegen und ist nur 1 bis 2 Stunden vom Fish-River Canyon entfernt und liegt in der Kalahari Wüste. Wir haben 5 Nächte gebucht und es waren die schönsten Tage, um einfach mal runter zu kommen! Besonders toll war, dass die Stellplätze einen gewissen Abstand zueinander hatten und man so wirklich viel Privatsphäre und Ruhe hatte. Die Aussicht war unglaublich! Man kann sehr weit schauen und hat in der Nähe auch Berge. Der Sonnenuntergang kann am Besten mit Campingstühlen und einem schönen Getränk genossen werden. Auch besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Pärchen, welches den Campingplatz betreibt. Wundervolle und herzliche Menschen, die diesen Campingplatz mit viel Liebe aufgebaut haben und ihn genau deswegen so einzigartig machen! Alles ist selber gebaut und bessern den Campingplatz immer weiter aus. Der Stellplatz hat eine eigene Toilette, Sitzgelegenheiten mit Sonnenschutz, einen Spülbereich, Mülleimer und eine Feuerstelle. Wenn wir tagsüber unterwegs waren, wurde immer unser Stellplatz sauber gemacht. Die Unterkunft hat KEIN WLAN! Das steht auf der Seite und trotzdem habe ich immer wieder die Kritik gelesen, dass es kein WLAN gibt. Ich möchte anmerken, dass der Campingplatz in der Kalahari Wüste liegt und das es dann kein Netz oder WLAN gibt, ist für mich jetzt nicht ungewöhnlich. Ich habe die Netzlose/ Internetlose Zeit eher total genossen und die Umgebung ist so schön, dass es eher schade ist die Zeit im Internet verbringen zu wollen! Wir finden die „WLAN freie Zone“ sehr schön und passt zum Ort! Auch gibt es einen kleinen Minimarkt. Auch diesen betreibt das Paar und es werden frisch gebackene Waren, Kaffee, das beste Biltong welches ich je gegessen habe, Snacks, Feuerholz, Wasser und noch vieles mehr angeboten! Wir danken euch für diesen wundervollen Aufenthalt und freuen uns schon unglaublich wiederzukommen!

un campeggio immerso nella natura con a pochi passi una splendida foresta di alberi faretra. sono presenti due dolcissimi cani che appena abbiamo iniziato a passeggiare sono venuti con noi come delle guide. il campeggio è gestito da julius, un amabile signore con cui abbiamo piacevolmente chiaccherato e fatto amicizia. il tramonto è stato spettacolare e tralaltro il campeggio è contornato da particolari installazioni create dalla proprietaria
