Canyon Farmyard Camping

I've been to some camping site in Scotland, Norway etc. but Wallies' been the best. An attraction of it's own, due to the lovely decorations (like old car wracks). Own toilet, fire place and there's even a wind shield (so super important on windy days!). We got amazing advice for our travels, the hospitality was amazing! He made sure we got a hot shower, too. No internet but that is a plus in our fast moving world. Time to relax and disconnect. Don't forget to bring cash though, since no card due to the lack of internet ;)

One of the best cookies and home made apple pie you can find around Namibia. How we wish this was the last stop but unfortunately this was our second night. Had this been the last stop, we would have loaded all the cookies and brought back home to share. We did literally brought a pack of Rusk and left it unopened for our family back home. The rusk is cheap and probably the best i have tried throughout Namibia. Wally is friendly and suggested scenic routes to take so that we enjoyed Namibia at its best.

The place is very basic but this is what is expected of farmyard camping and hence there is really nothing to dislike about.

This campsite is located far from anything else which makes it feel like you’re the only ones in a 100km radius 🤩 we loved the look and feel of the wide-open space this place provided. The owner also has amazing biltong for sale and they provided great tips and input to continue our way through Namibia. We were pointed in the direction of orange river, which was such an impressive part of the country!! Thank you again for a lovely stay!

It was rather windy the night we were there. Nothing that could be influenced (obviously) but this made our stay a little less comfortable.

Nice place to stay, very clean, quite and owner is also very helpful. After checking in, the owner directly showed us the recommended camp site. The view from there was amazing. And they fixed the toilet for me, the owner is very kind and quick to act.

A very nice campsite on the way to Fish River Canyon. The campsite is spacious, and each site comes with private toilet and shower facilities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. The main building is a highlight, adorned with unique decorations that give the place a charming and distinctive character. The hosts are amazing, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.
