Villa Hibiscus Scopello

We loved the villa. Simple but very efficient and comfortable as a couple. Could definitely share with more people (2 additional bedrooms were unused). Kitchen had everything for cooking, outdoor furniture had everything we needed to lounge, eat, play cards and relax. The villa is part of a gated community, it was May and we barely saw any neighbors. Lush gardens were beautiful. And the private beach for the community was so special. That was packed in the daytime. Not a lot of shade but there was an umbrella at the villa which was very helpful. Much nicer than staying in the town on the hill. Was nice to walk to the swimming and then venture in to town in the evening. Walk was pretty easy but a hill could be challenging for some. Giorgio was very friendly and responsive and accommodated all of our requests. Would definitely come back!

The internet doesn’t reach very far (to the bedrooms)

L'emplacement était parfait proche de beaucoup de points touristiques. Très belle terrasse qui prête à flâner. Vue sur mer époustouflante. La maison est très confortable mais nous avons plus profité de l'extérieur.

Nous avons eu un contact uniquement par wattsapp avec le propriétaire. Seul petit bémol, une cafetière un peu plus grande serait plus appropriée.

Location is exceptional. Giorgio is an amazing host always responsive and very helpful.

The stairs barrier on the first floor is very low and has massive gaps in between the railings which can make parents feel quite anxious about the risk of a child falling out. We are actually quite tall people and I would easily fall above the barrier if tripped. I would definitely recommend getting some higher “screen” fixed to the existing rails.

We loved this property. Perfectly located with fabulous views, space and available free parking. Loved the screens on the shuttles to keep the bugs out. Halfway between the town and the small beach below. Host is very helpful and responsive.

Sometimes low water pressure

Die überdachte und die freie Terrasse sind sehr schön. Man hat sogar Meerblick. Sie ist mit ein paar Liegen, Lounge Möbeln und Sonnenschirm ausgestattet. Die Anlage liegt nahe an Kies- und Felsstränden. Das lebendige "Scopello Borgo" mit schönen Geschäften, Bars und Gastronomie ist fußläufig zu erreichen (ca. 30 Minuten bergauf). Der Vermieter hat uns per WhatsApp Hilfe angeboten, getroffen haben wir ihn nicht. Der Nachbarort Castellammare del Golfo ist einen Spaziergang wert.

Anders als angegeben, hat das Haus nur ein Bad im EG mit Dusche. Eine Außendusche, einige Stufen unterhalb der Terrasse gibt es noch. Das zweite Bad im OG hat ein WC, Bidet und eine Waschmaschine. Für 5 Personen nicht ideal. Wenn jemand auf der Toilette war, kam aus der Duschbrause kaum noch Wasser. Leider keine Spülmaschine. Die Türen klemmen sehr, was wahrscheinlich an der Luftfeuchtigkeit liegt. Der Vermieter hat uns per WhatsApp Hilfe angeboten, getroffen haben wir ihn nicht.

No hot water and extremely low water pressure. Could hardly shower properly

Fantastic location, amazing views! Close to the village and the beach. Well equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms.

Water pressure is not strong at all, pillows very uncomfortable.

La villa è meravigliosa, nella casa c’è tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Una terrazza enorme con lettini prendisole. La spiaggia è di ciottoli, consiglio le scarpe da scoglio, l'acqua è pulitissima. Abbiamo soggiornato con tre bambini. Scendevamo a piedi alla spiaggia, ma è possibile anche arrivarci in macchina. Nel complesso c’è un campo da tennis, perfetto per giocare a palla con i bambini. Consiglio vivamente di noleggiare un kayak e fare una gita lungo la costa. Dalla stanza a destra si gode una vista incredibile sull’alba. In sintesi, è stato un soggiorno indimenticabile: natura, relax e comodità in un unico posto. Sicuramente torneremo!

Non ci sono negozi nelle vicinanze, deve andare con la macchina

Die Lage ist super,der Blick aufs Meer, die große Terrasse, in 10min zu Fuß zu einer kleinen Bucht, in der man auch schwimmen kann. Die Anreise/Übergabe problemlos. Das Bad ist schön und modern.

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen, er zweckmäßig, aber nicht geschmackvoll und etwas lieblos eingerichtet, die Küche klein, es funktionierten nur 2 Gasflammen, nach langem suchen haben wir auch 3 Weingläser gefunden, die oberen Zimmer sind sehr klein und viel zu heiß(Juni), es gibt einen Ventilator, aber eigentlch wäre eine Klimaanlage für die oberen Etagen notwendig. Das Haus ist maximal für 4 Personen geeignet.

The location was spectacular. An easy walk to the village of Scopello with plenty of restaurants. The little cove was great for swimming and snorkelling but be aware there are a lot of stairs to get to the water. It is very close to Zingaro preserve which is absolutely beautiful and a real highlight of our trip.

Mattresses were a little hard and kitchen supplies a little basic but otherwise everything was very comfortable.
