Blooming Botanic Houses

The property was lovely. Big, bright and airy. The host communicated with us early in the day and was very friendly and provided us with a lot of information. He then met us at the property when we arrived. A very nice chap. The rooms were spacious, bright and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but we felt happy to spend more time at the accommodation during the day then we had originally planned to. The view from the balcony out front was spectacular and we had clear sight of the sea and surrounding cliffs. The facilities were clean and tidy, the bed super comfy and the whole experience was great.

The road to the property is a little hazardous due to the incline of the hill. That is by no means the properties fault, more the topography of the area. The car parking was quite tight and we had to be super careful when manoeuvring the car around as it would have been easy to have struck the cliff/wall to the side of the parking area. Again, this is not an issue that the property and host can do much about, it is more a word of warning to be careful when arriving there.

Schöne, ruhige Lage mit Ausblick aufs Meer, sehr gute Privatsphäre. Schöne ansprechende Ausstattung des Hauses.

Het mooie uitzicht, privé tuin en een ruim huisje met alles er op en er aan. Zelfs yogamatjes, spelletjes en boeken te leen wat het een heerlijke week maakte.

Niets. Enkel de stijle weg er naar toe is in het begin wat spannend. Maar dan went vanzelf.

Perfect voor elkaar!

Absolutely lovely little house overlooking the sea at Calheta with a great terrace with views and comfortable furniture to sunbathe and read and table and chairs for meals. Interiors also beautifully designed. Our host was brilliant. Great recommendations for sightseeing and eating - we just worked our way through the list and were never disappointed. First class stay. Small car is best for Madeira’s roads and tight parking. We would return in a heartbeat.

Nothing it was perfect
