Our unit was over an hour late before we could enter. Unfortunately we were extremely tired and had to wait/nap in the car (fortunately we had a car) until the unit was ready. Also, instructions for the dryer would have been helpful.

The apartment is in a very convenient location — right next to the church and just a short walk downhill to the busy city center, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher, oven, and microwave. The heating works very well and keeps the place warm and cozy. The host was extremely kind and helpful — when we had a small issue with the door, she patiently guided us over the phone and helped us solve it quickly.

One thing to note is that there are several large garbage bins placed right outside the entrance, which may affect the overall impression a little. Also, the curtain on the front door is quite see-through from the outside, especially at night when the lights are on. Although the host warmly offered to come and fix it, we ended up using clothes and towels to cover the door ourselves. For guests who value privacy, this might be something to keep in mind.

The apartment was very central and comfortable, within easy walking distance to most restaurants and shops. It was also well-equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay, and the information provided through the app was thorough and helpful. Price was good for Rejkavik, given how expensive the city is.

The only complaint I have is that the blind over the kitchen window was not a blackout blind, which we needed in the summer, but it didn't really bother my husband.

they didn't tell me the specific location and it took me over THIRTY MINUTES to open the door until 11pm. It's AWFUL!!!

Cleanliness and location

Location - near the main shopping street, and close to the BSI which takes few minutes' bus ride or less than 15 mins' walk. Staff are very attentive to our enquiries through the web, we always got prompt reply from them.

The flat is smaller in size than expected. The blind on the door is too thin to be seen from outside. Rubbish bins are just at the entrance, felt a bit of unpleasantness.

Great location

Our group was very surprised at how very high the amount the owners/the compant held back on our card as insurance after we had payed the stay in full, or double the amount for the stay! And they held it for almost two weeks after we checked out. When we complained we were told it was standard procedure, which I can assure all travellers coming to Iceland, it is not. The apartment itself was o.k, but nothing special and the noise from other apartments and outside was more then we expected.
