Beautiful Aldeburgh Coastal Getaway

The location was good.

AVOID AVOID AVOID- NOT AS DESCRIBED! NOTHING BEAUTIFUL OR RETREAT ABOUT THIS PROPERTY!!!!! Booked for 2 nights and left after one (only stayed because it was NYE and had travelled a fair way with 3 kids) Whole house smelt of damp and was grubby and full of cobwebs. Showers were awful with very low water pressure. Lots of areas needing attention and repairs. Huge watermark stain on the kitchen ceiling which got worse after using the shower. Last straw was finding mouldy pizza on plates in a wardrobe!! Owner was contacted and initially replied but then ignored all future messages. Raised dispute with booking.com who also had no response from the owner. Now having to go through my bank for a chargeback as we didn’t get what we paid for!

Plenty of room, close to golf club and only a few minutes walk to Aldeburgh sea front.

It was near to where we needed to be.

The location of the property was good, close enough to walk into Aldeburgh. It had a nice pub and 2 convenience stores just around the corner and the parking was good. The room sizes were good apart from a very small kitchen but we weren’t there to cook so it was adequate to our needs. The street is quiet and the house is very private( garden not overlooked) Tea, coffee and milk were provided which was a lovely touch.

On arrival the first impression was that of overflowing waste bins outside, the bins had clearly not been emptied for a long time. The green lid did not close so there was exposed rubbish in the bin with flies and rubbish bags at the side of the bin. This did not give a good first impression and we were apprehensive about entering the property after seeing this. The next impression was the carpet in the hallway which is clearly ready for replacing and looks quite grubby, but the rest of the flooring and carpets in the house, are beautifully laid, new and clean. Some of the paint work needs remedial work but overall the house is well appointed and clean. The property was overall a good find, the garden could do with some attention in respect of weeding and cutting of the grass but overall this did not spoil our stay. It is a nice property and we would recommend and stay again.

The matress on the beds could have been better. Great size beds though

This property was in an ideal location. A short walk into town. Very comfortable and clean and comfy beds. Lovely bathrooms and furniture.

The landing and stairs could do with the floor boards sorting as they were very squeaky. My mum uses the loo quite a bit in the night and it woke everyone up
