Yosemite South Presidential Mansion

The property was big enough to sleep the whole group. There were plenty of beds.

The property is clearly older and worn down. Doesn’t look like it’s had a deep clean in quite some time. Coffee maker didn’t work. The listing says they allow pets free of charge but when you get there it says 50$ fee per night for pets. (False advertisement)

I’m very disappointed. The add on booking.com is an inaccurate description of the property. This house is filthy. I have not received a response from the owner or management of this property.

Do not bother booking this property. It is not well kept and should not be listed on booking.com or any other site for that matter. This property is not safe for your family. The list of issues with this house are many, to start the house we walked into had a musky smell, the house throughout was unclean. The refrigerator was not clean, many of the kitchen appliances did not work. The house has many plumbing issues throughout like leaking faucets and shower water not draining, one of the bathrooms was missing a shower head, bathroom ceilings had holes, one of the shower doors was loose fell on my brother as he was closing it he was lucky it didn’t shatter on him. There was rat feces in one of the bathrooms, damaged furniture throughout, damaged doors some were missing hardware.

The unit was extremely dirty specially floors and shower areas Broken coffee machine Broken dishwasher Broken door and cabinet knobs Shower drains clogged Spider webs are over Unsafe and broken BBQ grill Old, stained with holes and dirty towels Unsafe stair railings (very dangerous)

Location was good near Yosemite. The number of bathrooms is a plus in this mansion. The overall space in this mansion is huge. We were a group of 18 people, so overall I would say we had a good time. The owner was fairly responsive as well.

None of the bathrooms have any locks. Please be wary of that. Some of the essentials like towels and blankets were not enough, since this mansion allows 24 people to sleep. The Dishwasher wasn't working, so we had to wash the dishes ourselves till the dishwashing liquid ran out (it was very less).
