Shantitheeram Ayurveda Lakeside Heritage Resort

The heritage room was lovely and spacious. Great swimming pool. Lake views. Amazing food. The women doing the grounds maintenance and cleaning worked so hard and were very friendly

There isn’t much around , did walk to another hotel restaurant for a change , but the nearby village didn’t have many facilities for tourists. Personally I found the manager somewhat intense. He was trying to be helpful but I would rather be left to eat food in peace and give anonymous feedback rather than have someone hovering over. They were helpful in arranging transport though.

Small but well-managed resort with a great attention to what they profess to do: help you to rejuvenate through ayurweda treatments and healthy vegan food. Rajesh, the manager went out of his way to make this place pleasant.

Small resort, small rooms, waste-deep pool. A good book is a must to endure. Two days was enough for me.

Quiet, clean, beautiful room, great massage, great view over the lake, swimming pool and food was good.

The manager was a bit pushy, agradable but didn't let you breathe that much ;) but he was nice to organise a nice cake for my girlfriend's birthday and for that I just can thank him!!!

Super friendly staff that goes the extra mile. The resort is at the shore of lake vembanad. You can either book a Ayurveda package with them (and stay for a couple of days), or book only a view treatments. It's a great location for those looking to relax. You can do boat rides directly from the resort, or explore the surrounding area.

The resort just opened recently, so some processes weren't 100% up and running perfectly yet. But they do their best to give you an incredible experience.

All of the food was outstanding. Every meal was different and well balanced and we learned so much about the variety of tastes and textures of Indian cuisine. The communal dining room is perfect to meet and chat to fellow travelers. The staff were amazingly professional and attentive, and we felt very well taken care of throughout - especially as they managed to accommodate us for an extra two nights at short notice. We stayed in 2 rooms while there: the first was one of the original 100-year-old rooms which had a gorgeous lake view and was all dark paneling; the second was a newer room which was spacious and beautifully appointed. The situation on the lake is perfect for peace and quiet but also good for reaching the beach, local shops, the backwaters and the airport (everything is between half an hour to 3 hours away).

I wish we could have stayed longer!

I had a really nice experience while staying 2 nights at the resort. Yoga sessions during the day are provided and I didn’t miss any. The garden is beautiful and the whole place is very relaxing. The staff 10/10 and made the experience very enjoyable. Specially the manager who was very kind and attentive. He made every guest in the resort feel very welcomed. I wish I stayed more night and I would definitely come back if I’m in India again.

Great ambience, overlooking the Vembanad lake. Very tasty vegetarian food, great massage, beautiful boat ride and great hospitality. Really enjoyed the stay

Lovely peaceful place by the lakeside , peace and quiet after time in Cochi and Thekkady . We relaxed by the pool and went out on a boat trip arranged from the resort . Helpful and calming.

As a health retreat the food was entirely vegan which we are not but they were super helpful and even drove us to the nearest bar / restaurant which was great
