Chalet Royal

This is a beautiful location and beautiful hotel. Spacious rooms, discreet but attentive service from the staff. Breakfasts were a highlight too! Loved staying here in the summer season and hopefully will return at some stage to visit during winter.

While we enjoyed the hilly 15 minute walk in/out of the main street. People with limited abilities might need to pay for taxi service.

A great new property with all the comforts. Calm and allowing one to rest properly. Close to the city center while sufficiently on the side to rest and have peace and quiet. Great breakfast and overall experience. The proximity of the restaurant just in front also makes it very comfortable. Perfect either for a family experience or an individual or romantic stay!

Beautiful hotel and spa located in a beautiful location.

The room was stylish. Breakfast was served beautifully. Amazing view. Great location. Warm hospitality.

In the morning there was a lot of noise since our room was located right under the breakfast kitchen. There was no a/c in the room

Stunning top floor breakfast room and bar with natural wood, amazing light fixtures (where did you buy them?!). Very comfortable bed and modern, well equipped bathroom. It's far from the core of the town, so you have to drive anywhere (especially because of bears!). But the upside is that it's quiet, super fresh air, sound of stream next to hotel. And easy to park!

Our check-in was very awkward. Could have just been the woman working, but we felt semi-pressure into take a more expensive room (which we paid for, this was not an upgrade). I'm sure the room was nicer than what we booked, but it was a very strange conversation on the spot about what we should do. To get drinks in the evening we had to have them turn the lights on - perhaps not a popular activity to have drinks at night? Also weren't told checking in about the spa room or whether/how to reserve it. Discovered it because the door was open when we checked out!

The staff was amazing. They helped me prepare a surprise for my couple anniversary. The view was spectacular!
