Sakura House

Everything about Sakura House was perfect. It's beautifully designed and decorated (the pictures don't do it justice), but what makes it special is Stephen and Erin's attention to detail - everything from the welcome snacks and cold drinks that greet you to the little lamps on the stairwells to the sharp knives,the games, tea coffee and milk, and even the umbrellas at the front door -and we didn't even need them. It made everything so easy. Absolutely fantastic place to stay! If we make it back to Nagano, we'll be staying here!

The only thing to note if you're mobility challenged, is that the stairs are quite steep.

Check in was amazingly easy and thorough Stephen left some tea and coffee and snacks - a big help prior to getting other food layed in Great natural light Nice quiet neighbourhood and an easy walk to the train station We had just finished a 5 day hike and it was great to be able to do laundry Would heartily recommend this as a place to stay

Walking back late at night the streets are very dark Always felt safe but watching out for cyclists was a bit dodgy. A lot of stairs to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night

The space was exactly what we needed for 2 adults and a teenage daughter. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed and the stay was extremely comfortable.

Very clean and comfortable. The fridge was stocked with drinks and there was also coffee and tea. Nice location close to restaurants. Host communicated very well and made sure everything was good. Parking was located in a good area as well.

We stayed at Sakura House in Winter. The house was very cosy with heaters in every room. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent. It was great to have multiple rooms and a living room especially when travelling with a child. It is located close to Zenkoji Temple and is a short bus ride to Nagano station.
