La casa tenía muchísima humedad, hasta el punto de que las sábanas estaban húmedas al dormir. Las toallas no se secaban y el olor a humedad era muy intenso. Además, había un cartel que indicaba que no se debían abrir las ventanas ni las puertas porque podían entrar lagartijas y cucarachas. Aun así, el día que abrimos para ventilar y reducir el olor, al regresar encontramos la casa con cucarachas. Más tarde nos dimos cuenta de que las rejillas de las ventanas, que deberían evitar la entrada de estos animales, estaban rotas. Por otro lado, el ambiente en el pueblo resultó algo incómodo; había bastantes personas con aspecto descuidado o posiblemente con problemas de adicción. No parecían peligrosas, pero generaban cierta sensación de inseguridad al pasear por la zona.
