At reception, they gave me the key of "my" room. I open the door and the room was occupied. They asigned me another room, where I had to ask for bath towels, at 11:00 pm. The air conditioned was very noisy. The TV was too small to watch from the bed

The mirror in the bathroom was filthy!

The gardens and the pool are nice, clean and well kept. Beautiful old trees. My hotel room was quite big, AC or open windows. Coffee machine and filters when requested, the same goes for bottled water. Hot water at all hours for shower or tub. The hacienda type building is spacious but there are few comfortable zones for chats or reading. Reception and bell boys are very nice and helpful. Good waiters that need better equipment.

Coffee in the restaurant was mostly lukewarm. For individual coffee order in the evening, a small filter drip would be convenient. Garden service for food or drinks was very slow. No attendant by pool side. Towels from reception only! No cozy corner for reading, no chimney in winter. Some food options are very spicy. Very few dishes for vegetarian diet.

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They made the stay fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is in a lovely area.

Everything was a little dated, but honestly, I kinda liked it.

The location of the hotel was very calm and safe. The hotel and leisure services were very nice for the first portion of my stay with my family with little kids (swimming pool, tennis courts, mini golf, futsal).

The restaurant service had in the one hand, very nice waiters and waitresses but also had an incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful waiter (Damian). His approach to being a busy waiter is that the clients have "to accept that breakfast will take about 30 minutes to be served" " to be quiet to allow him to explain his perspective about how to request the breakfast to get a better price or else, assume to be charged more" not to mention that he told us there was no orange juice while other waiters were serving it to other tables all those 2 hours we were there, etc. At the end, we waited 2 entire hours from the moment we arrived to complete our breakfast and an incredibly bad taste for our first vacation day. We spoke with the restaurant manager and while we got apologies and a very nice treatment by all the other staff members the following days, the last day of my stay (business portion of my trip) and to my dismay , when a very important professor with whom I was sharing breakfast asked this same waiter if they could please serve her breakfast as they were taking long and as we were going to be late, and to my dismay his response literally was ""well I'm sorry but you will have to wait as much as needed to get their food"!!!!!!! As I am spending so much time writing this negative review, I hope you can appreciate that if I do it is because it is on the hand very upsetting to spend money or the money of companies or institutions that pay this hotel to host their guests to be treated and talked in such an unprofessional way while it is also sad that the hard work of all the other staff members is tainted by one really unprofessional waiter.
