It’s a good place to stay the night in passing

The hosts are super friendly and we always found a way to communicate, even though we don't speak Spanish and they didn't speak English. They were incredibly helpful, showing us to a restaurant and even driving us to the bus stop one day. The grounds are very pretty and well-kept, with cozy hammocks and fairy lights on the terraces. Our room was also nice and clean and the Wifi worked well. Drinking water was available.

Personally, I found the bed too hard. The location is really very remote. Without a car, it is difficult to get around, and there is not much in the neighborhood, e.g. no cafe or store. As we were in Oaxaca at probably the busiest time of the year, it was difficult & expensive to get a taxi there. The best budget option is to get a motor taxi to the main road (20$) and a public bus to the city (8$), but I would really recommend having a car if you are staying there, especially if you don't speak much Spanish.

The hotel owner, Luz, and her mom, Juanita, were so personable and warm. They really helped me and my friend order food, drive us, and also made me tea and soup when I was feeling sick! It felt like I was being taken care of like family and I am so grateful to have met them.

If you are a tourist, it is pretty far from Centro and needs a bit of figuring out to get to downtown!

The price was exceptional and so was the stay and service!..we felt right at home...we did not even want to leave....thank you Luz!
