Living Castro Apartments

Very clean and spacious and really well equipped. We enjoyed both the wonderful garden patio and a smaller patio overlooking the sea

The steps down to the apartment were quite steep and challenging when getting luggage in and out. We managed okay, but this might be difficult for some

This was an excellent place to stay in Castro. The view is superb and the apartment was spacious with thoughtful inclusions for travellers like coffee, tea, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, even some garlic cloves! It is a short walk to the old fort area and some steps down to the port and swimming platform. It is a well managed property and we loved our stay here.

We had a wonderful time at one of the Living Castro Apartments. The apartments offer a breathtaking sea view and are within walking distance of both Castro Marina and Castro Storica. The property is located along the coastal road that connects Castro Marina with Santa Cesarea Terme. It’s part of the Regional Nature Park Costa Otranto – Santa Maria di Leuca, an area known for its rugged cliffs, Mediterranean vegetation, and panoramic sea views. The apartments offer a very peaceful environment, ideal for relaxation. We stayed in the garden-view apartment (67 m²), which also had a seating area overlooking the sea. It’s suitable for up to four people and includes two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a bathroom with a spectacular shower, and a large private terrace. Please note that the apartments are only accessible via stairs. Unfortunately, the sea-view apartment was not available during our stay, so we missed the beautiful sunrise. However, this didn’t diminish our experience, as the illuminated garden at night was truly picturesque! The apartments have been recently renovated and are very clean and comfortable. They are equipped with all modern conveniences, such as a washing machine, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, laundry detergent included, and two TVs. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are also available. Communication was easy via WhatsApp. Upon arrival, we were kindly welcomed by the host’s father, who explained everything about the apartment. Highly recommended for a longer stay!

A few suggestions for improvement: • The kitchen cabinets are relatively high, making it difficult to reach items like wine glasses — a small step stool would help. • A sun lounger in the garden would have been also a welcome addition.

Incredible view at sunrise, nice balcony, full equipment of the flat very comfortable, parking, 15 minutes walking to the restaurants.

The apartments are new so everything is in pristine condition, and there is everything you need in the apartment ( including big mugs for tea!). The apartment was light and airy. Castro is a nice town, and the cycle ride along the coast to Otranto was wonderful, with plenty of swimming spots. Friendly hosts, we felt very welcome.

Everything was great. A shelter for the ebikes where the garages are would be an added bonus, but it's not a deal breaker.

The location is very clean, you have everything you need inside, and the view is amazing. The host was very nice and polite, and you have also one parking place available all the time. Very close to Castro Marina by foot

The apartment looked brand new and everything was spotlessly clean. Two good sized bedrooms and a large kitchen/dining/lounge area all with individual air conditioning units and Wi-Fi. There was a washing machine in the bathroom which was useful. Lovely balcony facing the sea and off street parking. The building was very quiet with no noise from neighbours and mid placed between the old town (10 minute walk) and the port area (10-15 minute walk) . The owner met us with the keys and showed us where to park.
