Hansan Hotel

View of my room was great facing the harbor. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and well prepared. The bed was firm and comfortable. Bedding sheets were clean and felt good.

Folks, I myself as a business man, I know how important it is to leave a review based on the facts, rather than the feelings or emotions. So, I am writing this review accordingly. This facility is OLD and NOT RENOVATED FOR DECADES!!!! What this means is that the owner of the hotel chose not to re-invest a portion of the profit for the necessary maintenance and renovation. Yes, the room was prepared clean, but everything was VERY OLD AND WORN OUT (EXCEPT FOR BED). When the guest above my room moved a chair or dropped something on the floor, the noise could be heard very loud and annoying. Loud enough to wake you up. When I finally told the staff about the noise on the phone, the staff did admit that the facility is very old and as such they are trying to mask this problem by paying extra attention to the hygiene and cleanness. Listen, when you check into any hotel, you expect the hotel to be clean. So, there is nothing special about paying extra attention to the cleanness. In order to prove that I am not making this up, I am attaching photos. Do you know how long it takes for reflective coating on the back of the mirror to degrade to a point to show black spots? DECADES!!! Can you imagine how long it would take for the metal drain plug and the towel rod to show this much weariness? DECADES!!! Among the 7 different hotels and motels I have stayed during my 35 day trip to Korea from USA, I have never seen a hotel without electronic door entry control activated by card. At this place, you still have to use a metal key to lock and unlock the door! Because the owner of this hotel did not/does not use a portion of the profit for maintenance, I must say that the value for the money is pretty bad. If the owner wants to keep all the profit without spending a dime for maintenance, then the owner should lower the rate!!!
