Jungle Escape Hiriketiya

Very new place, the day we arrived they had just installed new AC. It has a nice vibe with half outdoor bathroom. You can spot monkeys, best was to be on the upper floor. Had plenty of fans too. The owners are absolutely gorgeous. It is super close to the beach, has a tiny kitchen with kettle and fridge. Absolutely loved staying there!

One night we did have some party noise from nearby. It didn’t bother me, but if you‘re sensible perhaps could be an issue.

One of the best hostels I have ever seen, beds is builtin the room, its super conformable, beautiful view to the jungle, you will be lucky if you found it available, I felt like home

I felt like I was home, my dad used to turn off the air conditioner while I was sleeping, its about guest by the way not the hostel

Great location. Good storage, clean and lovely staff.

There is no AC as advertised, even though we were being told it was ‘being put in tomorrow’ upon arrival. A few things went wrong during our stay, which I understand happens, but it wasn’t ever addressed to us. The water was off for a day. It rained one day and it leaked on my bed all night, luckily there was a spare bed, but the night before there wouldn’t have been. When we arrived after a long travel day wanting a nap, they were still ‘building’ the room, with saws, hammers and drills going past check in time. None of this ruined our stay, and I think it’s a fairly new room, but one thing after another was slightly annoying.

Proximity to the beach. Room design. Space and tall ceiling in the room. Outside private bathroom was fun and hot water worked nicely. Area was quiet.

The parking wasn’t the most comfortable but ok.

Very nice and spacious room. Lovely bathroom. The owner are very nice and friendly and the location is great just 2 minutes walk from the beach. Definitely recommended
