Villa Amihan

Villa Amihan is a wonderful resort with a very spacious layout, stunning sea views, a well-equipped kitchen, and an impressive range of amenities. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, featuring king-size beds and TVs, and the bathrooms are equally spacious and well appointed. The swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi are superb and were enjoyed extensively throughout our stay. Caretaker Jorge was consistently pleasant, positive, and extremely helpful. He provided excellent restaurant recommendations, kindly drove us to the supermarket in his tuk-tuk, and arranged a fantastic one-day boat trip for us.

The villa is somewhat challenging to reach by car. As a result, our original plan to use it as a base for sightseeing trips by car did not fully materialize. However, given our relatively short four-day stay, this was not a major issue in the end. The air conditioning in some areas could also be slightly more powerful, particularly in the spacious master bedroom, which remained a bit too warm for comfortable sleeping.

Rooms were spacious and a very nice view of the ocean. The caretaker was kind and looked after us very well during our stay.

Door was not secured on the top deck and was loud and banging all throughout our stay. The faucet/shower in the bathroom next to the main entrance is not switching properly, and the hot water is only coming out of the faucet but not in the rain shower. Would be great to have an outdoor seating for the top balcony for use during the stay. Would be great to mention that the place can only be accessed via van and tuktuk not the normal tricycle.

Everything about this villa is excellent. It’s very spacious villa, clean with a breathtaking view. When you enter the villa the WoW factor hits you. It’s a very big modern and impressive villa. You have to experience this. What a beautiful place to stay. Also the staff (George and his family) are wonderful people. They directly helped us with anything we needed.

This villa is even better than the photos, if you can believe that. It really is that good. It's very private, but if you need anything, five star quality service is there - towels, dinner, drivers etc. It is a luxury property in an amazing location in Puerto Galera- a few minutes drive to Sabang -where there's nice restaurants and bars - but high up to enjoy the views and a quiet residential location. We arranged transport to a few places very easily with Jorge. The pool is incredible, and it overlooks mango and papaya trees and a view of the stunning water ahead. The playroom is fab for small kids, and our children loved it. Each bedroom is different, but all luxury. The full size kitchen was great too. The real bonus is the beach, which you walk down to via some steps in the grounds and there is a private snorkeling place. It really was quite magical. I also enjoyed walking to the village and visiting the very friendly sari sari shops for fresh pandesal, ice lollies and beers. You can walk to the lighthouse for some nice views too. I also managed to do some runs along there too - easy flat 5km is possible with a few laps. We will be back....Mindoro really is a magical place to visit.

Absolutely fabulous! We loved our stay at Villa Amihan. The villa is a short drive from the Ferry Terminal, we had asked the host to arrange the transfers and it was perfect, upon arrival our van and driver were waiting. We opted for Villa Amihan to have a relaxing family week and we are so pleased to have made that choice. The ground takers, George and Mark were amazing throughout our week, they were fully available yet discrete enough. We opted for a private chef to cook us some local, Filipino meals which made our stay that much more relaxing. We look forward to coming back one day!
