Kelimutu Paradiso Resort

Beautiful location with incredible views from room, dining area and hotel generally. Already halfway up to kelimutu making sunrise start a touch later Beautiful rooms Mie goreng for breakfast was tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, including helping with bags up stairs.

We were there in wet season so these are more things to be aware of before booking, than negatives. Room is an eco lodge, with no glass in windows or doors. This means limited privacy from neighbours, and that the wild life such as huntsman spiders and hammerhead worms make their home on your walls. Maybe less of an issue in dry season than wet season. This is fine as long as that is your expectation, and it is what you are booking. Entire hotel built on side of hill, so steep stairs everywhere. This is the price of having amazing views but make sure you are capable of this before booking. We didn't have hot water, but there was definitely a hot water system in place. We could have asked if it bothered us, but it didn't so we didn't ask. Maybe just check it's working before staff leave if you're planning to have hot showers. Wifi only in dining area not rooms, so get off your phone ppl. Meals take about half an hour to come. This seems standard for this area of Flores so just adjust your times and plans accordingly. Might be quicker in dry season when they have more guests and therefore more staff. Despite us being away from moni, we could still hear the music from the bars below. I think this is true for all hotels in the region

Spectacular views. Quiet. All meals available which proved handy as it is a little far from the village.

Good Location

No hot water for shower which was very bad because it was very cold. No table or chair or desk. No coffee making facility. Very difficult to access reception, room, and restaurant because entire resort built on a very, very steep hill with vertical steep steps exhausting to climb. No towel racks in bathroom. Bathroom hand basin not in bathroom but at entrance to room.

Traditional house style bungalow gives a special experience. The view is amazing. Beds were confortables.

The restaurant has a very short but good menu.

Absolutely amazing view, they organised their driver to take us to the kelimutu lakes

Lots of spiders around which aren’t going to hurt as the rooms are semi enclosed only which can be a worry of your fiancée doesn’t appreciate spiders. The bed has a mosquito net though

We got to enjoy spectacular views of the sunrise over the valley from our private verandahs.

Limited food options

Loved the property and its location. The people were very sweet and they helped us with everything that we asked for. They went all the way to make sure that we get the food that we would like to have.
