Terramaya Boutique Hotel

This is a well loved and cared for property which is mirrored to the guests. Particularly liked the free coffee on request which is served not made by yourself and the terrace for breakfast. Piping hot water for washing and showering which can be missing in some Central Americal hostals.

No fault of the property, the hike up/dpwn to town which is steep.

Great breakfast. Great location. Very happy with the services received. I enjoyed how clean it was. The staff was very flexible to our needs and responsive. It was a great experience.

Our room overlooked the garden and the mountains and was just spectacular, especially once the clouds lifted a bit. The hammock is as comfortable as it looks. Huge room with loads of space and luxurious in every detail. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was on the terrace, and we saw a resplendent quetzal in the tree at the end of the garden as we ate! Coffee was, as you can imagine, probably the best I have ever tasted.

Nothing about the hotel itself, but anyone driving into Copán Ruinas should know ahead of time that the streets are cobbled, very steep, and very crowded. It takes real skill and nerves of steel to drive here. Parking is directly across the street from the hotel and gated, so very safe. Honduran drivers are incredibly skilled and generous, but a bit chaotic, which might take getting used to for some visitors. The one-way system can be a bit confusing. Terramaya is on the street leading up the hill from the left side of the Parque Central. If you find the Biblioteca Publica on the left, you are almost there, and Terramaya is on the right.

Gutes Frühstück, gute Lage, gute ruhige Aussicht nach hinten, sehr aufmerksames Personal, hilfreich, Eine Nachttischlampe auch am dritten Bett im Zimmer wäre wünschenswert
