Ciabattine Art Apartment

Toni and Silvia were great hosts! My family and I stayed at their apartment for 5 days in Catania, and it was a convenient base to explore the city as well as nearby sights such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, etc. The apartment was beautifully painted and decorated - great work by Silvia. Toni was responsive via Whatsapp, and was able to help arrange a car for us so that we can get to the airport super early in the morning we departed. We also appreciate being able to use the washing machine in the evenings. Heads up that there is no WiFi , but that was stated in the details of the booking so we were well aware in advance.

The apartment is at the top of the building and there was no elevator, so it's a bit of a trek to go up the stairs if you had large suitcases (as we did). But the perk is that the view from the balcony was very nice!

The balcony in particular was incredible but the rooms design is also a unique and interesting aspect. There’s also great bakery’s for breakfast and pizzeria for diner all about 30 seconds away on the same road as you. The owner was also very knowledgeable and helped a lot which made my first solo trip a lot easier.

I was asked to pay for the wifi after I wasn’t told that there would be restrictions on how I could use it.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Toni was a great host and went above and beyond!

The hosts were great and really helpful, the rooms were clean and beautiful full of paintings, near the city center and attractions.

I absolutely loved my stay. Tony and Silvia were not just hosts but local friends whom I was lucky enough to meet. The location is perfect, the apartment is like art gallery. All the recommendations given to me are not just touristy list, but based on my interest; they took time to ask me what I wanted to do and shared all the suggestions. Must-stay while in Catania! It was one of my favorite stays ever!!
