FYAFY Bidiyah Bedouin Camp

Silence (electricity but no noisy generator). Small (only 3 tents). Secluded. Beautiful fine sand in that part of the desert. Personal service from the owner/operator.

We stayed at FYAFY camp for 1 night and we absolutely loved our stay there! Amer was such a great host and we really felt welcomed, we would definitely stay there again. The camp is at the top of a valley, so you can get incredible sunset views and sunrise from your bed. It's only 3 tents and it feels very intimate and private. Dinner and breakfast were great and there is complimentary drinks and snacks when you arrive. Despite being in the desert, the room feels luxurious and spacious. We slept in one of the comfiest beds of our Oman trip. We had 5G connection on our phones and there's also power plugs and lights inside the tent. Each tent has its own bathroom including a shower and toiletries - it's small but more than enough for 1 night

It's not a negative thing but you need to be aware of extra costs. Dinner is 5 OMR extra per person and we paid 20 OMR extra (2 people) to get to the camp. If you have a 4x4 you would follow Amer's car and drive yourself into the dessert.

We really enjoyed our stay at this camp. The setting is beautiful and the Bedouin-style tents constructed on platforms are spacious, comfortable and clean, with en-suite toilets that flush and shower. The dune bashing activity was lots of fun – our driver was super skilful - and we watched the sun go down from the top of the dunes. Dinner was really good and there was a veggie option. In the morning, we watched the sun rise from our tents and it was amazing to see the tracks of the animals and insects that had been out in the night. The camp is very well thought-out and Amer our host is very hospitable - we really enjoyed talking to him over the camp fire. It was easy getting to the camp in our 4 x 4 (following Amer’s car). In summary – perfect!

The location is fantastic, a totally unobstructed view at sunset and sunrise which was stunning. The facilities are new and super clean, very comfortable beds and nice deck areas to sit out. Amer and the staff are lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and nicely presented. This is now our go-to desert camp!

Everything was great, but for information be aware that the shower is solar so cold in the mormings and there isn't aircon/fans yet (we found it fine by having the door a little open and the bathroom window open to create a through-breeze). Didn't impact us at all though!

I had an amazing 2 nights at the camp, which I chose for my birthday. Amer was a great host and made sure I had everything I needed and helped me to celebrate my birthday too! The camp is really peaceful and away from everything else, so I personally enjoyed that. The food was great and the sunrise from your tent is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Fantastic little camp, only 3 tents, a good distance into the dunes. Layout of the camp is very clever and you do feel all alone when looking out of the tent, lots of privacy. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom is v modern with soaps etc. Note the shower is cold (as you would expect!) Dinner and breakfast was great. We did dune bashing which was lots of fun. It's pretty easy to drive in a 4WD to the camp, and fun too.

Amazing place and scenery! You feel part of the beautiful, quiet and peaceful desert. The small scale of the camp makes it very personal, one of the main reasons I chose this camp. Camp is beautiful and set up with nice eye for detail. The tents are very comfortable and equipped with all comforts. Home cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious. Easy to reach with a decent 4x4. In my opinion a much more true experience of the desert compared to the larger camps….! Thanks Amer!

This is an incredible private desert camp! With only three tents, it offers breathtaking views of the desert. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. Amer is perfectly responsive, accommodating, and truly kind. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is nothing short of magical. You truly feel immersed in solitude within an authentic desert camp experience.

We loved it! It was a wonderful experience staying at a new camp that has been designed with lots of love for detail and quality. It’s very peaceful and quiet, the tents are beautiful and comfortable, food is awesome and Amer is such a great host. The place is running on solar energy and feels well integrated with the environment and landscape.
