Hotel Mignon

Situated right outside the bus stop that goes to the city centre. I was attending a conference that was 10min walking distance from the hotel. View from the room was very pretty - looking out on the harbour. Owner was pleasant - it's on me that I didn't read that they did not speak English (and I don't speak Italian). Very small place, peaceful and quiet and breakfast was nice - some cheese, meat and bread along with yoghurt and fruit.

Disclaimer: I did not inquire about the following issue during my stay, partly due to anxiety and language barrier. There was no heating or hot water during a time where it was necessary - the mornings in particular were pretty icy. It wasn't clear if the restaurant was active or not as I never saw anyone dining there, but again I didn't ask.

Overall, it is a charming, typical Italian hotel. Great location and amazing views.

It must have been a classic in its prime, but sadly it's now overdue for a major renovation. We visited in early April, and since the heating had already been turned off, the room was very cold! The breakfast consists of pre-packaged pastries and is exactly the same every day—anyone expecting a lovely Italian breakfast will be disappointed

Das Hotel wirkt von aussen etwas heruntergekommen, es wurde schon länger an der Aussenfassade nichts mehr gemacht. Aber die tolle Lage, unsere Terrasse hat es wieder gut gemacht. Es war wunderbar ruhig, der Bus nach Triest steht vor der Tür, gute Lokale zum Essen direkt davor, und der Weg zum Schloss Miramare geht auch dort weg. Das Frühstück hatte guten Kaffee zu bieten, Mortadella, Käse, Brot und vieles andere wurde serviert. Die Besitzer sind freundlich, sprechen nur italienisch, dies einen gewissen Charme hat:) Wir kommen deffinitiv wieder!

Diese tolle alte Villa könnte Renovierung gebrauchen....aber wenn man alten Stil liebt, ist es genau richtig für Leute die keinen Luxus benötigen, und "Old Style" noch schätzt.

La posizione è veramente spettacolare, vista mare, parcheggio comodo e gratuito, vicino alla fermata dell'autobus che porta a Trieste, vicino al castello di Miramare e vicino a due ristoranti/bar ottimi fronte porto turistico. Staff cordiale e disponibile

Purtroppo l'albergo è vecchio e poco curato, come dicono le altre recensioni la colazione è tutta confezionata ma, in certi contesti, preferisco che lo sia.

The location was wonderful .. amazing views the staff tried but language a problem ...

Directions to the hotel were confusing, when we called the hotel nobody spoke English. We are seniors and there were a lot of stairs and no handrails or lift, the rooms were small and dated ...
