Nice location but that is all

Towels and sheets were not clean. The room is sinister. No staff

My experience is slightly special because I came during the low season and was the only person in the hostel aside from the owners and their children. I had booked a bed in a 6-people dormitory so the unexpected intimacy was nice. I loved the green exterior and the hamacs. The hostel is a bit further from the more busy streets so the ambiance was quite calm. The owner was nice and helped me with a few things, although he was not always present. Cheap price, essential amenities, ideal if you're a backpacker with simple needs. For some reason the hostel page on Booking mentions no access to a wifi connection, but when I got there the owner shared the wifi with me right away.

The downsides of being a traveler during low season certainly became apparent during my stay. One of the reasons why I chose this hostel was because the breakfast was included (as mentioned on the Booking page). Unfortunately this was not the case. I assume that it is because I was the only traveler staying. In my opinion, this is not a good reason to not provide it, so I was disappointed. There's also a cute bar on the front yard, but it remained closed for the entirety of my stay and I could only imagine what it looked like during the high season. I also realized that the dormitory would not be very convenient when fully occupied as the space is very tiny, there are only one or two plugs, and the space to get to the shower/bathroom is really narrow without knocking yourself on one of the beds. So, despite the loneliness that became more and more overwhelming, I was glad to be alone in the room.
