Albert Hotel

The staff was superb, so helpful.

The hotel is convention located to downtown. It had a minimalist feel in the room. The rooms were large but there was no insulation between rooms. We could hear our neighbors walking around at 1am, a baby crying down the hall at 2am and a bachelorette party arriving back at 3am. It was not as restful as we had hoped. Also TV does not work during storms as it’s satellite TV. We liked it for the conscience but likely would stay somewhere else next time. Not worth the cost.

Very convenient location. The room was very nice but it was very noisy. Can hear everyone in the hallway and next door in the other rooms.

This hotel has some good aspects, but too many bad ones that will keep us from staying here again. The staff is great and the pharmacy/coffee shop/saloon are awesome. The building is attractive, but the rooms are small and very poorly designed. The lighting is terrible and the walls are dark so we couldn't see anything. The lazy design of the rooms left us with virtually no seating in a bigger, double queen room and the paper thin walls and floors are absurd. You would have thought we were in Vegas with all of the noise. Kids jumping on the floors above us and noise up and down the hall until about 3am. We should have complained, but you just assume it will quiet down, but we were wrong. The hotel is owned by a sharp company with lots of great restaurants, but the flaws in this hotel probably cannot be fixed. Luckily, Fredrickburg is a tourist destination because not many regular customers would return to this property. There is absolutely no way we'd ever stay here again and that's unfortunate because the place had a lot of promise, but they cut some corners and it shows. There are clear levels to the hotel business and this place is below average and not cheap - that's a bad combination.

Amazing staff

Great location right off Main Street but away from the crowds. Food options were very limited for non-meat eaters. We would have loved to have dinner at the beautiful restaurant in the hotel but it was very meat-oriented. The rooms are basic but very nice, and designed almost Nordic-style (like Iceland). The hospitality was incredible! The staff were exceptionally friendly and are there to make your stay great. The iced coffee drinks at the "Pharmacy" were delicious!

We felt pampered.
