Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr ruhig. Man hat sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, frisch zubereitet und sehr gut. Der Pool eine schöne Erfrischung und sehr erholsam.

Im Bad gibt es nicht genug Haken um Kleidung, Wäsche oder nasse Badesachen aufzuhängen. Die Badeliegen sind ungepolstert und etwas unbequem.

This place is truly magical. We were lucky to have this place to ourselves for a night and it could not have been a better experience. It is a quiet oasis near beautiful Izamal, located just outside the centre. The grounds are beautiful, with lush gardens and two swimming pools. Everything was clean and the staff who stayed there and prepared the most amazing breakfast for us was so kind (a very special thank you to them!). We can only recommend coming here to unwind from sightseeing and long travels. We even managed to spot an armadillo on the property at night, that's how peaceful it is! Can also imagine it to be a great location for weddings etc. Although there is not as much "to do" in Izamal as in Valladolid and Merida, we are very happy that we discovered this gem and recharged our batteries here.

I highly recommend staying at Otoch Ixchel if you're planning a trip to Izamal. I was looking for a peaceful hacienda, and this place was absolutely perfect. I even came back to spend my last night in Yucatan. The renovation work is outstanding : the property beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort. I especially enjoyed relaxing by the swimming pool and spending time on the magnificent terrace. My room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The attention to detail throughout the hacienda is impressive, and the owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. A truly memorable experience!

A hacienda with beautiful grounds and spacious rooms. The hosts and staff are wonderful and very friendly, serving one of the best breakfasts for a hotel without a restaurant that I have ever had.

The internet can be a little unreliable. It could be a little bit more obvious how to ask for help as it isn’t a traditional hotel with a front desk (texting the owner worked well, but messaging through Booking and WhatsApp weren’t so effective)

The property is beautiful and spacious.

I didn’t like having a leave.

Palatial , relaxed , clean.. everything you might desire in a place to stay.

Toch Ixchel is in comparable to any other BandB that I have experience…it is a sanctuary of peace and serene beauty.

Everything! Shelly ans Eric have created a magnificent environment and elegant suites. And they are formidable hosts. Impeccable property.

This is one of the best stays I have had in my life...and I travel quite a bit.
