David's Hostel & Restaurant

Prime location! Spacious beds, nice gym area, lovely shower facilities, lovely and cheap food.. and can’t forgot the staff! Will be coming back for sure, they talk to everyone and make you feel at ease.

I liked nothing. This hostel is the worst one ive ever been to.

-When i arrived, david said he had overbooked and wanted me to sleep in the same bed as a girl who arrived at the same time as me. He also wanted us to pay full price despite asking us to share a bed. -The owner is rude and is always high or drunk. -the owner is lazy. More times than not when i needed something the owner just waved me off and told me to come back later(always napping) many other people experienced this problem. -only 2 "working" bathrooms for more than 25 people also the bathrooms are disgusting and there was never toilet paper. -showers are cold and full of piss. -on saturday a huge party is held there until about 4 am with the LOUDRST MUSIC EVER. -people regularily have sex in the dorms and i never saw them switch the sheets. (My bed was disgusting when i arrived. -the owner is greedy. He takes a 5 dollar deposit for towels and only returns 4 becuase of the "cleaning fee" All in all if i could give this hostel less than 1 star i would. I cannot believe this place has 9 stars. It deserves 3 AT MOST!

it was close to nestival (but also very loud during the night)

the owner is kinda rude & only wants to make money, isn’t very helpful & very unprofessional. he asked a few people to sleep in the same bed, because he overbooked the place. he made a lot of inappropriate comments to girls & touched them without consent. i felt very unsafe when he was around. it was very loud when nestival happened, as its the place of the after party. the beds are hard & the room is always full of sand, because it doesn’t get cleaned. there’s no hot water in the showers and the toilets were always clogged or out of order

Very helpful staff with a great location

The beds were big and comfortable. Toilets and showers are outside and clean (no hot water). Location was ok. Its easier to go with the ferry to long set beach than the main pier. They dropped me off by the pier for free when I was going back. The restaurant was ok.

The host was being inappropriate towards some female guests at times, especially one girl in my room felt very unsafe because of his behaviour. Others seemed to enjoy it. He was also drinking and smoking weed while working and wanted to party with the guests when he was not working, the line of what's professional and what's not got blurry. But if you are into that kind of vibe, this place is for you. I became hesitant to interact with the staff because I felt uncomfortable.
