We were in a rush and could not really enjoy a slow start and full enjoyment of the facility.

Wifi is a bit scattered

Fantastic wifi. Was able to work on it everywhere without problems. Very good quality bedding and pillows. Friendly and helpful owner and staff, opened for breakfast half an hour early and added an item not normally on the menu for me. Great restaurant with ample choice on the menu. Generous and quality coffee station in the room. Peaceful and quiet location for a good night's sleep.

I reported that the fridge in my room was extraordinarily noisy but I am sure that this will be sorted out speedily. The owner was grateful for my reporting it.

The breakfast was good, but couldn't do poached eggs. We were informed the day before that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday, so we would have to find our own supper. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was a quiet place for a restful night.

The property is not in Elliot, but about 10kms outside Elliot which we then had to travel back to the next day to carry on our route. When I booked on Booking.com the price was R550 for one night for the family room with breakfast for a couple. I was then called by the establishment to try to change us to another more expensive room, which I declined as it would cost more. After breakfast on Monday morning we asked to settle the bill and received an invoice firstly for R1250.00. I told them that was not the agreed price on Booking.com as it was R550.00, which we then paid. After saying our goodbyes, we started packing the car to leave when we were called back and informed that Booking.com had made a mistake on the price of the room for the night and that it was R550.00 per person. Had we known this, we would have looked for another place to stay where we knew what we were going to be charged. We paid another R550.00, but it left a bad impression and we probably won't be back. I see on Booking.com they have now updated the price to R1200 for the room for 2 people - too little, too late.
