Lindo hotel, pero medio hincha bola el viejo, medio cargoso

The locations is very good: safe and quite. We walked after dark to and from the Mariscal shopping center several times (and once even from the shopping center del sol to the hotel at night), where there are many restaurants/eateries are located. The room is spacious and the private kitchenette is adequately equipped with everything needed. The staff are very nice. Owner Claude is very enthusiastic to introduce you to everything about the hotel. He will even offer cooking Guarani omelette for the guests. Wifi works well. The hotel is very nicely decorated with numerous pictures, crafts, antiques, and books.

Cleanliness. Washing machines and dryer.

Breakfast very limited. It’s a bit of a maze. You had to go up and down steps to get to room. Old elevator and power outage.

The location, it is within five minutes walk of plenty of bars and restaurants.

The place is run by a narcisistic control freak who does not make you feel comfortable at all. Always hovering around at breakfast time to make sure you put things in the right place etc. I have never come accross a hotel with warnings of $10 fines if you leave a stain on a towel or with so many do not notices. I think the owner sees himself as an art expert and every available space has something in or on it. For me it was over the top and just looks a mess. On arrival I questioned whether my campervan would fit in the parking space, was assured it would and was then guided in by the receptionist until I had ripped the vent off my roof leaving a hole in the fibreglass. The manager arrived at first saying it was my fault until I explained it wasn't. Then he sent a couple of handymen to try and persuade me to just fill it with silicon ! Another suggestion was to cover the whole roof in a roofing membrane, completely blocking the vent and covering the solar panel ! Quite frankly this was insulting and when I pointed this out was met with passve aggressive behaviour from the manager who was "only trying to help". I had to fix it myself which took a long time but was the only way to ensure it would not leak because they obviously didn't care about it one tiny bit. The other staff are very nice, even the receptionist that directed me into an accident was lovely and apologised profusely unlke the manager who didn't apologise once. I did get a room upgrade, that I did not ask for, as some sort of compensation but let's get real.. That cost nothing as the hotel wasn't busy. So all in all, nice location shame about the rest.

Fantastic hotel, very unique but I loved the art throughout. Owner was very friendly cooking up some eggs in the morning. They checked me in very late (past midnight, coming from a late bus from Foz do Iguaçu), let me leave my bags also after checkout. All very much appreciated!

Bathroom had plenty of ants/bugs

Really cool hotel that is essentially an art gallery with bedrooms mixed in. Check-in was smooth and quick, staff were helpful, bedroom was spacious with nice shower, comfy bed, desk, A/C, kitchenette. Owner is friendly with a sense of humor. Would without a doubt go back if I'm ever in Asunción again !!!
