Camp Cardrona Apartments

This was a very good apartment and suited our family needs. There were excellent cooking facilities, comfortable beds and some of the family really enjoyed the hot tub. The bathrooms were also very good. Gaining access was very easy with good instructions given.

There was a lack of some equipment, such as sufficient cutlery and crockery for the 6 of us (the apartment can sleep 7.) There were also only 3 dining chairs, which left 3 of us balancing meals on our knees. I would have liked to be able to sweep up any crumbs etc from the floor but could not find a broom or hearth brush.

New, cool design. Clean, nice views.

Small living room, no real table for eating, only on bar chairs/kitchen bench (very manageable but not comfortable for a nice dinner). A BBQ would be a great addition.

Location and aesthetics

Confusion about getting in - wrong details from booking.com about unit number and PIN. Had to ring owner. No signage ‘Camp Cardrona’ !!!

Location was quiet. Beds comfortable. Close to Wanaka (20 mins or so). About 50 minutes to Queenstown. Close to Arrowtown too.
