The lady was friendly

For the price, the "garage" was dusty. There were insects all over the cupboards and bathroom like thousand legs. My husband had to shower halfway through the night because his legs were itchy. The bed was dusty. We put our clothes on the pillows for fear of insects. The place smelt damp or not opened often smell. Sorry to be honest on the review because R890 is a lot of money for a poor place. My husband was so upset with me that I didn't book a nice place. The pics were amazing but didn't reflect what we found. So disappointed....

The cottage exceeded my expectations. As I walked in I said "my goodness it's just like it looks on the website". Everything was clean and tidy, all items that I required were available in the kitchen. The shower was a good size and completely clean. There was a good flow of water, shampoo and soap were supplied and there were plenty of towels There were plenty of plugs points for my computer and cheese biscuits were provided along with 2 bottles of water. Sandi, the owner and my hostess ensured that I was happy with everything on my arrival. All in all, it was the best apartment of its sort in which I have ever stayed and the quality of the room exceeded that of the rooms which I have occupied in many guesthouses. I look forward to my next visit to Gordons Bay and will certainly hope to stay at

Location, clean, friendly

Lovely cottage with incredibly accommodating hosts The location is great too, 10m walk away from the beach Gordon’s Bay is incredibly safe and calm

The cottage has a lovely view of the bay and mountains and close enough to beaches, shops, restaurants and scenic drives. The bed was comfortable and the shower decent. Sandi was very welcoming, friendly and was very helpful when we needed something.

The cottage is situated on quite a busy hill road and the neighbourhood dogs can be a bit noisy. The cottage has a lot of potential to be a little gem, but it needs some appliance upgrades, deep cleaning and general maintenance. The wifi was not quite good enough for online work calls.

Cozy little spot. We were made feel very welcome with complimentary sodas, teas, coffee and biscuits.
