Alfred Place

The location was great, right at fort Cochi and close to the Biennale venues. The garden was beautifully designed and kept. The room and the swimming pool were clean and comfortable.

The WiFi wasn’t working which was a major issue. Also the breakfast was very poor to the extent that on the third day we decided to eat out. There is almost nothing other than some Indian fried dough and very spicy Indian curries. Also, while the room was very clean, for some reason the common toilet near the pool was always very dirty like as if it had never been cleaned. Despite the fact that we warned the management about it, it remained that way throughout our stay. Other than that, the staff is helpful and kind and other guests were very decent.

The location in Fort Kochi is convenient and the property looks aesthetically pleasing in photos. PS: only in photos but it’s really small and not worth for the price at All!

The property is extremely overpriced for what it offers. I paid €98 for ONE night (over ₹9,700), which is unreasonably high by Indian standards. The place is very small and does not match the photos. The AC did not work the entire night, despite informing the staff no one came to fix it. The shower was also not working, and even the charger ports were faulty. Rooms are located right next to the reception, offering very little privacy. Charging extra for high-speed internet at this price point is disappointing. Just because it’s in Fort Kochi, Alfred place shouldn’t charge this price and give so little!

Rooms were spacious, breakfast served was good.

Bathroom can be better by providing a seat which fits the toilet.

The location is good, it is centered but not noisy. The room is ok

We stayed 2 nights and they didn’t clean the room and didn’t make the bed. Most of the rooms are in the lobby itself so we can hear all the noise and the conversations . The breakfast was not tasty at all! The pool was dirty.
