Such a great hotel with amazing amenities. The dinner was amazing and top notch. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Someone in our party left an item and it’s nearly impossible to have anything shipped in Iceland once you lost it. It’s definitely our fault but something to be mindful of.

"In die Jahre gekommen – Renovierungsbedürftig und überteuert"

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen im Restaurant ist hervorragend.

Es ist schon gewaltig in die Jahre gekommen. Alles ist schon sehr abgenutzt. Die Zimmern sind sehr klein, und das Bad ist noch kleiner. Wenn man sich ins Bett legt, glaubt man, man liegt in einer Hängematte. Unsere Meinung nach gehört es einmal ordentlich renoviert und entspricht nicht dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

"Great hotel very close to amazing attractions"

Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The room was comfortable and the outdoor space was very nice.

The room was very warm, even with the window open. The blinds also did not block out enough daylight, making sleeping slightly difficult.

Die Lage ist toll, um die verschiedenen Gletscherzungen und Gletscherlagunen des Vatnajökull mit dem Mietwagen zu entdecken. Bei schlechtem Wetter bietet das hoteleigene Spa eine willkommene Abwechslung. Frühstück und Abendessen sind qualitativ hervorragend.

In mancherlei Hinsicht steht Design vor Komfort (z.B.bei der Bestuhlung des Restaurants: aufgrund der Stellung der Stuhlbeine lässt sich der Stuhl nicht an den Tisch heranziehen, was relativ unbequem ist und bei einigen Hotelgästen für Kopfschütteln sorgte). Reserviert man einen Tisch dür das Abendessen, so wird man teilweise vom Personal eine ganze Weile ignoriert, während man vor dem Eingang im Hotelflur auf Einlass wartet. Leider gibt es im Umkreis kaum Alternativen, um essen zu gehen, was sich auch im Preis niederschlägt.
