Tanaka Canggu Guesthouse

The position is very convenient to explore Canggu and nearby areas. Restaurants, gyms, spas and laundry services are walking distance from the guesthouse. The structure seems new, with a nice swimming pool and the beds are very comfy. The staff allowed us to leave our baggage at the reception after check out as we had a late flight home.

The room wasn't very clean when we arrived and there was always a strong bad smell coming out from the bathroom drains. We stayed in several structures all over Bali and this was the first time it happened to us. So we complained and the staff immediately came to clean the room and bathroom. It didn't solve the issue unfortunately, so the whole room kept smelling bad even keeping the bathroom door closed, but they were very nice to try. Also the staff charged us 200k idr at the check out because my boyfriend accidentally stained the bed sheets with some light stains of blood while sleeping (despite wearing band aids and bandages) because he had a surf accident and scratched his back on the reef. So we had to pay this extra for them to do a special cleaning of the bedsheets, which for us was not fair.

in a central location so easy to get to the beach, lots of cafes, shops. just a heads up to anyone, it is quite loud at all hours! i found this to be not a huge problem but can understand that for light sleepers, this might not be the place for you. comfy bed, modern amenities and a lovely neighbourhood cat. staff were cheery and kind as well!

i found that i got one set of brand new white clean towels, and then the other half were stained and quite dirty (which was offputting). there was smells emanating from the bathroom as well but that is probably general bali sewerage. floors did not seem clean either, furniture and linen on bed was good

Very clean. Comfortable. Close to everything.

I like mostly everything. It wasn’t a very big pool but reasonable size.

Staff were great.Bed was very comfortable. It was noisy on side of the road so I changed room and other side was quiet.

They can do a bit of paint maintenance and cleaning but over all it’s good.

Desgraciadamente, es una zona de mucho ruido y vida nocturna y no pudimos pegar ojo en toda la noche. Una pena, pues el hotel es un 10.

I like that it was clean and spacious enough for 2 people as well. There a parking space inside for motor or car to drop if needed. Staff was super friendly and they allow me to keep my luggage at the front desk but do note they didn’t put it in a safe or something so better bring along your expensive goods with you.

Everything was nice but if I were to nitpick maybe if you grab/gojek over there they might not be able to find it so you’ll need to find nearby landmark and tell the driver to stop.
