What an amazing adventure!! Fabulous location, wonderful staff, amazing historical house, so close to nature! We really hope to visit again with friends !

It's a very spacious place with more character and history than luxury. Don't expect a five star hotel, rather a beach house on the rocks. The logistics getting across by boat/kayak seem daunting at first but it's all part of the adventure and experience, you get used to it quickly. We really had a great time and care taker Francis has been a true magician helping us out where needed.

The location of the property is superb and exceptional. The house is really comfortable and perfect for family holidays. The host was also very approachable and helpful when we needed his help. Thank you Gustav! And one must not forget the caretaker, Francis, who assisted with luggage, wood, and everything else one can hope for.

The boats to row across the river (the only way that one can actually reach one's car/other transport to towns, etc) really need attention. We were a group of six who found it cumbersome to every morning try to find the "best" boats. The kayaks get one very wet (it was winter - in summer it wouldn't be a problem) and the one boat was most unstable (even Francis mentioned this). It needs to be remembered that all groceries have to be transported across the river - kayaks do not work for this :-)

The setting is stunning. We were fetched in a small row boat and were rowed across the river by Francis - just added to the adventure. Canoed to the waterfall- stunning. Loved the deck! Would definitely go again!
