Gully hideaway apartment

Was a little gem of a place that we loved! - the attention to detail was amazing. Especially loved the deck area overlooking the gully.

Very private and relaxing, gorgeous gully/ bush views with native birds. Hard to believe you are actually in the suburbs. Tranquil

Location & hosts

The apartment is tucked away in scenic surroundings and makes a great base to explore Hamilton and surrounds. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the hosts were great communicators. There was a separate kitchen/living space with a small balcony that let you look out and occasionally see some birds, which made it easy to fix up breakfast and relax.

The bathroom is slightly cramped with not a lot of drying space, but this was manageable.

Quaint, and quirky. We loved the private deck looking out over the native trees in the gully.

We didn't mind, but some people may not like the closeness of the owners. But they kept away and were respectful.

Beautifully appointed apartment with everything needed and great attention to detail. Comfy bed, great shower and amazing seating area outside.

Tv in bedroom not living, not à deal breaker, just not my preference

The location was quiet and peaceful and the bed was comfortable. The use of recycled materials to renovate ithe original shed into accomodation was a positive.

The bathroom is v small and awkward to use and there was no hair dryer. The kitchen facilities were adequate but there was v limited cutlery and no teaspoons at all. There didn't appear to be a tv either.

We liked how safe it was and the apartment was clean,comfy and quiet

Hallway light kept randomly turning on

This is a hidden gem. The outlook onto the gully is lovely and it was great to see kōtare in the morning from the deck. The apartment is really comfortable and has lots of thoughtful touches. Great communication from hosts. Ngā mihi nui
