Hotel Europa

We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom and AC — the AC was definitely necessary given how hot San Miguel is. The bathroom was a decent size, and the water pressure was just about acceptable, though there’s no hot water. The sink could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The pool table is barely usable, and the cues really need replacing. On the plus side, there’s a good-sized kitchen with plenty of equipment, and a water dispenser with both hot and cold water. Overall, the place is kept reasonably clean and tidy. However, because of the noise and my preference for being able to sleep in while on holiday, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Road noise is a real problem here. The slatted glass windows in the rooms do nothing to block the sound, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
