Casa Layu Oaxaca

Central location, just a short walk to downtown and main attractions. The apartment was spacious, recently renovated, and well-equipped, including a great kitchen. The property felt very secure. The local family managing the place was friendly and helpful, offering useful safety tips and being flexible with check-in and check-out times.

Just a couple of things could make the stay even better. Since it can get quite warm during the day, a more powerful fan, or ideally, air conditioning, would significantly improve comfort on warm nights. The toilet refills a bit slowly. Also, there's no on-site parking. Finally, the property's exterior looks like a store, which can make it a little tricky to spot from the outside.

The location is walking distance to downtown central plaza and market. There is a store and restaurant next to our main entrance. Across the street is a the cultural art building. Our main location was perfect and safe and the people of Oaxaca very friendly. I would definitely come again.

The only issue was the toilet which refills the water tank slow but there is hot water. Perhaps a stronger fan would be nice because it does get hot during the day.

The property moniker (Oaxaca Dream). The airport taxi service couldn't locate. Neighboring businesses didn't recognize...

The interior design was modern, clean and fresh. We felt secure in the building as the entrance had a wrought iron gate that locked as well as the entrance to the courtyard. Our suite also had it own lock.

- Large, airy and light apartment with functioning kitchen. - kitchen well-equipped - Set back from street, which made it feel private and safe. - I could see that it would be ideal for a digital nomad. - Good lighting at night

- Low water pressure - Like many old buildings, the steps are irregular.

the owners are kind and respectful people. there are some issues that bothered us very much : 1- booking.com charged us extra 120 USD for parking which they don't even have parking ! and booking.com has never refunded that extra that I paid . CAUTION be careful!!! 2- communication between the client and booking.com and the property sucks big time ! it takes at least 3-4 days to get an answer for simple question and often the answer is not even related . 3- it mention that the house is 100sqm which is not even 50sqm !!!! 4- the water pipes has no pressure ! we got to know that's the problem in all Oaxaca but here was really drops of water ! and often we didn't even have hot water ! 1 and half day no water at all !

better communication between me as a client and booking.com would be much appreciated .
