De Orangerie

De ruimte in en om de Orangerie is prachtig. De rust en sfeer is heerlijk op het landgoed. In de zomer is het vast één groot feest in de tuin en het bos. De rondleiding door kasteel ter Horst was de moeite waard.

Voor de ouder wordende mens is het wat onhandig dat toilet en douche beneden zijn. Maar het kan gewoon niet anders, voor ons was het geen probleem.

Het huis, de omgeving en de gastvrijheid

Het is een heel fijne plek, op een groot landgoed waar veel te zien is. Het ontvangst is hartelijk en het appartement heeft veel voorzieningen. Zo is er een platenspeler, veel spelletjes, goede kookspullen en genoeg verbruiksspullen zoals koffie, afwastabletten, wc papier etc. In de omgeving zijn mooie wandelingen te maken.

Very comfortable accommodation with a lovely outdoor garden seating area. Very quiet with the castle, trees and wildlife to look at. Lots of good walking nearby and some good cycle routes.

Perhaps if the welcome booklet also had an english version - though a translation app told me what I could not understand.

A charming and peaceful family retreat in Loenen We stayed at the Orangerie in Loenen in April and had a wonderful time as a family. The property is stylish and historic (16th century) and beautifully located at the premises of Castle Ter Horst, offering both privacy and a gorgeous, peaceful, green environment. The property is very spacious, and the interior is tastefully designed with thoughtful details, every corner brings you different experiences but make it feel like home. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, as well as the living room. We appreciated the spacious layout—perfect for a longer family stay. The garden was amazingly large, beautiful, and private, and great for spending time outside. You have also direct access to the forest and land belonging to the Castle to stroll in nature. The hosts , Jolanda and Alexander, are super friendly and welcoming and gave us a great tour of the castle (which is a beautiful place). It was smooth and friendly from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend the Orangerie to families or couples looking for a relaxing and stylish getaway in the Veluwe area.

A lovely hidden gem on the Veluwe. Very quiet, and a beautiful apartment.

The place is close to perfection. If you want to “complain” about anything it’s the fact that the bathroom is on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are on the top floor. A quick run to the bathroom in the middle of the night takes a bit more effort. It’s a monumental building so I don’t think this can be changed easily. 9,9/10 for our stay
