Montazah yfrane taounate

The view from the property was really beautiful. A shame we couldn’t enjoy it.

We arrived at our destination Montazah yfrane taounate at 14.00, which was the designated check in time. There was only a teenage boy to greet us, who didn’t speak French or English. He didn’t know of our arrival and had no plan of upcoming reservations. We tried to communicate via google translate and were told that we’d have to pay 300 mdh for the night. I showed him the payment confirmation in the booking app, but he couldn’t understand it. We furthermore checked the toilets and restrooms, which were in a non acceptable state. We weren’t shown a fixed tent, even as we had booked the biggest one. It seemed that no one knew of the booking or of any reservations. There was only one four person tent (which we had booked), but this didn’t have the facilities advertised in the booking app. There was no heating, no en suite bathroom, no seating arrangements and only mattresses as beds. We then decided to leave the premise and look for a different hotel in town, even if the booking was non refundable. It’s really a shame that the location was that dirty and had the organizational issues. Otherwise the place could have been beautiful.
