The host, Maria, who speaks fluent English, was delightful and extremely helpful. We booked this accommodation after a long drive specifically for the restaurant. Very disappointingly, we discovered it was closed on Tuesdays. Maria gave us several other options close by but it meant getting back in the car again and driving to another town to eat.

Only that the restaurant was closed, but that was nobody’s fault, just bad luck that we arrived on a rest day for staff. Mattresses were hard so the bed was not comfortable for older folks like us.

Awesome experience. We stayed four nights and loved everything about it. Great staff, large rooms, excellent restaurant. Maria is a fantastic hostess and made us feel at home. Location is perfect for trips to Modena, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Cervi Museum, Canossa.

Wonderful country setting in the heart of Parmesano country. Small hotel as part of a gourmet restaurant/event facility. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.

we stayed 2nights there and everything was perfect. Maria and Alex Bothe were so kind and helpful. the room was so clean, the breakfast was decent and we had enough parking space. basically we enjoyed our stay there.

The location. The food. The host! Can't wait to go back. The perfect base to explore Emilia Romagna!
