The serenity

It's located in a quiet neighborhood. If you want to avoid super touristy destinations (e.g., Ella), Badulla and this property would be a good choice. The room and the bathroom were clean. The owner arranged a private car to nearby tourist attractions like Lipton's Seat for a reasonable price.

There could be more communications about breakfast and dinner options. The booking.com description says they are available upon request, but it wasn't really explained when I checked in. I ended up having food outside during my entire stay here. Also, in the bathroom you can smell a burning trash coming from the neighbors. But that seems pretty common in Sri Lanka (I experienced it elsewhere), so it's not a problem of the property per se.

This guest house was very quiet and had a really nice open space to hang out in. The owner was so nice! His English is really good and he was so helpful! The room was spacious and had excellent air conditioning.

The bathroom is shared between two rooms. We were the only ones, so it was perfect for us.

The perfect place to stay to visit Badulla. This peaceful accommodation was very spacious and comfortable, especially as I was the only guest. It felt like my own apartment with views of the trees from every direction. Amila was incredibly helpful, arranging a car and driver for me and onward travel. His wife made delicious breakfasts.

The Serinity deserves its name! We had a lovely stay at this place. The host is welcoming and helpful, and we had pleasant conversations. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The host recommended a place for dinner and we were satisfied with his suggestion. The bonus was bird watching from the apartment window.

The apartment is beautiful. The host found out our arrival time in advance and met us in the evening for check-in. The place was very clean, comfortable, and mosquito-free — there were fumigators in the rooms. Special thanks for the water, kettle, and tea bags. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. The bathroom was clean too. In the morning, we woke up to an amazing view of the mountains and the river through the palm trees. The area is peaceful, with birds singing. We highly recommend this place!

There was a smell of mothballs from the closet, but it didn't bother us, and I think that was why there were no insects :)
