Tout était parfait !

Posizione: centrale, perfetta per raggiungere ogni punto d'interesse, da Alberobello a Matera, Polignano e Monopoli. Quadro: eccezionale. Calmo, verde, immerso nelle colline e gli uliveti. Struttura: pulizia, ordine, stanza e servizi impeccabili. Piscina con ombrelloni e sdraio a disposizione vero plus. Colazione ricca, salato e dolce di ottima qualità. Staff: cordiali, disponibili, simpatici e di ottimi consigli. Consigliatissimo.

A wonderful place, with beautifully furnished, brand-new rooms and a lovely swimming pool, managed by a very nice and helpful family. Surrounded by olive groves and fields, close to the beautiful Castellana Grotte, and a 30-minute drive from the sea, Monopoli, and Fasano.

The door to the room was a bit thin. But the positives of the stay outweighed it enough that it was a minor issue.

Modern meets traditional in this trulli home. It offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in a quiet rural atmosphere. Kitchen had everything we needed, jacuzzi among olive trees, sunbed under a fig tree. Host is very friendly, uncomplicated communication. Would definitely recommend!

Not so easy to arrive via car.

Il Trullozio is a compact villa with a bedroom and dressing room in a trullo, beautifully done. When the lights are on in the trullo it glows and feels very secure and quiet. There is a clean, Ikea style kitchen and bathroom attached to the trullo that allowed us to cook some meals and make espresso every morning. Basic kitchen tools and plates there. One feature that really helped us was the clothes washer and dryer in the hallway. In our two week stay we were able to clean our clothes multiple times and stay organized. Location: Easy 5 minute drive to Castellana Grotte for grocery/wine runs and occasional dining. Owner Gianluca’s recommendation of local Trattoria Arco Persio in Castellana G. Led to several really nice dinners for us. Having googlemaps and a sub-compact car made the narrow road negotiations easier. Technically cyclists (bicycles) could stay at Il Trullozio with gravel bikes. Gentle grades on most routes but lots of narrow, gravel road sections. We had rented a small car but saw lots of cyclists.

Pulling the small car in and out of the doble gates was manageable but tight. We did fine but larger car would be more difficult for turn-around. Very minor issue.
