Pensiunea ROCA Maramureș

Everything was lovely. The welcoming, the personnel, the food, the beds, rooms - everything. It was perfect.

Nu mai fusesem in Maramures si eram curios. A fost peste asteptari. Mai exact: wow! Zona, oamenii, natura/ peisaje, obiective de vizitat. Nu mai zic de mancare si bautura :). E cam departe de casa ( Bucuresti), dar merita sa ma intorc. In ceea ce priveste Pensiunea Roca: a fost atat de bine ca ma voi intoarce aici la urmatoarea vacanta in Maramures!

Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Wunderschöne Zimmer. Abendessen mit hausgemachten Rumänischen Speisen 😋 Sehr gutes Frühstück, ebenso mit rumänischen Leckereien. Die Tochter spricht sehr gut Englisch.

Great accommodation within a serene location, easy to reach. Everything is exactly as described and seen in the photos + brilliant hosts. Located within a reasonable distance (max 30-40min drive) from the activities of interest of this area (ski resorts, historical wooden churches, mountain peaks, trekking trails, waterfalls etc.) it's worth booking your stay here while exploring the region. The real assets of this accommodation are the hosts, who are very quick/prompt to attend to almost any type of issue. On top of that, they master the art of hosting by genuinely knowing how to make you feel welcomed as a friend and not just as a guest. In addition, the food is mouth-watering with a comprehensive selection of traditional ingredients from within the village. The rooms are sparkling clean, with a nice view from the balcony, furnished elegantly and of high quality, offering a cosy blend of traditional elements which engulfs that warm atmosphere sought after by many. As a bonus, the rooms are well-soundproofed. The room's minibar fridge is well stocked and the freebie shots (downstairs) of locally sourced brandies and other beverages are all you could ask for after a long trip. Because they consistently go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, they deserve the rating of <9.7 Exceptional>. We highly recommend this place! Thank you and keep up the good work.

Some travellers are forgetful and for this reason, vanity kits or toiletry kits readily available upon demand (not necessarily in every bathroom) are highly appreciated. As we understand the concerns related to a sustainable & eco-friendly activity, this could be a small exception when required.

Nice view, friendly owners, excellent design and facilities, very clean, comfortable beds, excellent food and variety of breakfast options, great value.

A bit isolated but nonetheless, close to the nearby attractions.
