"The price was more on booking.com than in person. I tried to cancel with tin the hour and it wasn’t allowed by property"

1.0

It was nice from the outside

No hot water. One electrical outlet. No towels. No blanket only sheet was cold. I was greeted by a 2 inch long roach in the morning.

"A great budget hotel."

5.0

The shower had plenty of hot water. It’s in the romantic zone close to every thing and the malecon. Daily housekeeping to mop and make up bed.

It’s very small. No hot water in the sink. Clean bedding only on our last night there.

For $700 pesos, or roughly $50 Can / $40 USD / night its a bargain. I went by myself but the rooms can accommodate 2 in a double bed, and I don't think there is extra cost. Once you have 3 or more and need more beds / rooms theres an additional fee. There are outlets, but low amperage. Shower tiny, but totally serviceable. Open concept, very authentic feel. Ceiling fan and in room AC kept me comfortable at night, bed on the harder side but not bad. Doors are by physical key, not key card. Including main level, 3 floors of rooms, with small open seating areas with couches for casual reading. There is access to the roof, with spectacular views into the romantic zone - though buildings may obstruct that in the future. No meals included, but theres a cafe 449 literally on the corner across the street towards the beach, and if you travel down that way you'll see bars, restaurants, cafe's, convenience stores, and street food. There are markets and bodegas around as well, but the rooms have no kitchen / cooking apparatus (at least in my room). Staff very nice, little to no english. Its their country, so if you need to communicate, translate something and write it down, they were happy to help me whenever I needed something. Special thanks to the night watchman - who unlocked the gates for me quite a few times when i came back from the clubs (only a few blocks away walking) past 1AM. Don't worry, the party scene is far enough away that there is little if any noise. I hope your stay is wonderful. I loved it there and plan to return soon!
