Guests highly rate the perfect location with stunning views and frequently praise the friendly and helpful hosts.
BGAmazing place to get away from the city. We realy enjoy the whole experience and the hospitality at Rosehip. Extremely helpful and friendly attitude towards the guest which made us feel very welcomed and pleased. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed our stay very much.
GBSuch a tranquil spot right in the heart of nature. We spent a lovely few days rejuvenating here in the peace and quiet. We read, enjoyed the sauna, toasted marshmallows around the campfire, had a lovely home cooked meal, spotted wildlife and hiked to an abandoned village. One tip if you are going is to have a small car, our VW campervan didn’t make it up the hill (!) so we had to order a taxi to take us up and down to the camp! Alexey, Marsha and their children were really welcoming!
RSGranted, I haven't been to any glamping spots in Europe or Americas, but Rosehip camp is truly unique experience for Serbia. It's best feature is a perfect balance between nature and comfort and amenities of city life. My partner doesn't like camping at all, but she was thrilled by our experience here. As far as facilities are concerned, tents are very comfy, with plenty of space, the beds are also comfortable and have heating. What is truly fantastic is that each tent has it's own separate private bathroom, which is well equipped and clean, even spacious. There's also a shared coffee kitchen that is fully stocked, so you won't worry about running out of tea, coffee or drinking water, as well as having the gas stove, insect repellant, walking sticks and sunscreen provided for you for no extra cost. It's location is perfect too - the Jerma canyon is scenic, with beautiful vistas on the cliffs and mountains, both from the tents and the restaurant. Natural surroundings are beautiful, with plenty of flowers, trees, shade, whatever you imagine from a camp in a special natural conservation area. The camp itself blends into the surroundings perfectly. As Alec pointed out, noise of cars can not be heard from the camp, which lets our poor nervous systems get some rest. Did I mention there's also hammocks and swings dotted all over the property for leisurely afternoons? Check. Great tasting food and wine on offer, cooked personally by your hosts? Check. Zen wildlife pond with a library? Check. Sauna? Check. Simply put, the lovely hosts Alex and Masha have already though of every possible detail, and made it a reality while respecting nature and sustainability. I can't recommend Rosehip enough, I've had 4 extraordinary days there and I'm sure I'll come back.
Everything was excellent, really.
BE- Really loved Alexei and Masha! So helpful and so friendly. Great hosts! - The nature around is really well preserved and amazing. Truly breathtaking nature and they did so well to present it. - The effort they have put in the place really shows. They are not only trying to make an enjoyable place for the travellers but also trying to improve the habitat and nature around them. They behold interesting stories and visions.
- The place doesn't have hot water (understandably). Still, a little heads-up can be nice since we "city people" are too used to such stuff. Great place for summer and nice weather tho! - Keep in mind that the road leading up is a good but steep dirt road. If you are with a tiny car, its good to take it easy and be aware that the car can get dirty :D or just hike for 2km.
RSIf you are a lover of hiking and nature, you must not miss this. A unique and wonderful experience. The camp has everything you need for a pleasant stay, starting with a very clean tent, own toilet, mini kitchen, place to read, barbecue, enjoying untouched nature. Breakfast, as well as other food, was delicious! Alex and Maria are very pleasant and good people. They are unobtrusive and try to make you enjoy your stay as much as possible. Wherever you are in the camp, the view is 360 degrees, an incredible landscape. The road to the camp is macadam, not at all problematic, although you are in complete isolation and wilderness. A beautiful experience, we can't wait to go again!
