We stayed just one night in this lovely apartment. The decor was charming, and the apartment was well-organized. We were warmly welcomed. Maria was very helpful, offering great tips and being incredibly guest-friendly. We highly recommend this apartment.

A small note: the apartment is located at the top of a steep street, so a car is necessary.

The apartment is so much more spacious than the pictures suggested. It is beautifully furnished, modern and very cozy. There is tons of storage space in the bedroom and everything was very clean. Maria and Alison were the kindest hosts and I felt incredibly welcomed and safe. Maria even made me some chocolate cakes and rusks which tasted absolutely amazing and Alison was so kind to drop me off at the farm I‘m volunteering at after my stay. If I ever need to escape the volunteering life again, I‘ll 100 per cent book this place again. I don‘t think that I‘ve ever experienced this kind of hospitality before and it really made my stay here an awesome experience. The town is also not far away. Just be aware that the road is very steep and you have to be somewhat fit to make it up and down the road to get to and from the apartment. Maria did provide contact information of taxi drivers in town as well as recommendations for restaurants and activities. Thank you so much for everything!!!!

There was nothing I didn‘t like about the apartment but it would have been awesome to have one of those portable electric hotplates for cooking.

We love this spacious, comfortable apartment with its superb shower room and comfortable bed. The living area is very comfortable with an impressively large television and many channels! Most importantly the owners' investment in solar panels mean that it is unaffected by load-shedding. Maria, who manages the property, is absolutely splendid. It is quietly set on the hillside behind Wilderness Village with reasonably speedy car access to restaurants, supermarket and all the coastal and lakeside scenic delights of Wilderness.

Perhaps the only limitation for self-caterers is the lack of a hob (currently there is just a microwave oven). Investment in a single or double portable induction hob with one or two stainless steel pans would be an inexpensive upgrade. That would complement the splendid Nespresso machine!
