Puluong homestay1holiday

Everything was very good, great food freshly prepared. The homestay is located in typical Puluong countryside, terraced rice fields, woodland, small but scenic waterfall, so the scenery is beautiful. The geographic location is a bit remote, but worth the extra effort to get there. A one day motorcycle tour was a highlight of my stay.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The host is so kind and generous. The room is perfect and has great ambiance with big windows in the rooms and bathrooms so you get lots of natural light. There is a pool and sunbeds as well as an eating area where the host offers delicious food for everyone at breakfast and dinner. Pu luong is such a special and untouched area in northern Vietnam. We did a tour with the hosts around the mountains and it was the highlight of our Vietnam trip! It was a full day experience for around $27 including lunch and dinner. Such an authentic experience compared to organized tours of pu luong. Overall we want to thank the host for such a fantastic few days.

The place was amazing! So beautiful, just like the surroundings. The pool was very refreshing and clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

The food was very oily, but if you ask for less oil it is better!

We loved the location, the surroundings were so beautiful! The property was nice, it had a big pool and a big common area where everyone would eat or just hang out. The dinners cooked by our host were delicious. We appreciated that we could use bicycles as well as washing machine for FREE and that our host arranged 2x transport as well as a scooter to explore for us. We also loved the big window in our room as well as the private roofed balcony - this was a real treat.

On the morning of our departure, there was no water, so no shower or using the loo. Price - we stayed at Vietnamese properties for half the price that were a lot cleaner. We had used toothbrushes in our bathroom from previous guests, hairs in the bed, and dust/spiderwebs in the room. The bathroom foot mat was super dirty. Communication - we were super confused about the food situation. We didn't know if we were allowed to use the kitchen to cook ourselves or not. The first night we asked to have dinner, we thought we would be given a menu. Instead, within 2 mins, all guests were receiving the same (huge) meal put in front of them. There's nothing wrong with that, the meal was great, and we understand that it's easier to do it this way. But it would have been nice to know in advance. We were only looking for a snack and we only found out the next day how much we had to pay for both dinner and breakfast.

The food was the weak point: the dinner we order was nothing special: rice, omelette and potatoes for the price they charged 150.000 dong./pp

Lovely clean room, clean sheets, nice view. Lovely host. Owner has a good level of English too which is nice.

Could do with a better hair dryer.
